Als je me volgt zul je me nu en dan wel al horen zeggen hebben dat ik als derde motor wel een zijspan zou willen. De Honda CBF 250 is ondertussen weg dus ik heb tijd (en een beetje geld) om een ander project te zoeken. Dit is het resultaat daarvan.
BMW R60/6 geluid van motorblok zoals het op m'n dnepr MT10-36 zijspan motor gemonteerd is. De koppeling is de originele dnepr koppeling met dus 4 versnellingen en een achteruit. Op een zijspan is die achteruit wel handig. De uitlaten en het hele blok en ontsteking zijn verder van de BMW R60/6 donor motor. Dat type BMW motor heeft ongeveer hetzelfde vermogen van de motorblokken van dnper. Het grote verschil zit vooral in de kwaliteit en de afwerking.

De bestemming, de naam zegt het al: is de Dnepr rivier die stroomt door Kiev, Oekraïne. Door alle indrukken opgedaan in de 6000km lange reis voelen de 19 dagen als enkele maanden tijd. Hopelijk mag het je motiveren om zelf op avontuur te gaan. Of het nou op 3 of 2 wielen is, zolang je je blootstelt aan de elementen, open staat voor nieuwe interacties en zoveel mogelijk comfort thuis laat is het gegarandeerd dat je een fantastische reis zal maken. Few months back I bought some cheap canvas bags off ebay, so I could fit them on the Dnepr Mototcycle rig. So here's a short video of how I went about fabrication the frame and putting everything together. The bags are not watertight or the best quality material, so I dont expect them to last that forever, but Im not arsed about that. I'll find some better quality ones later on, that will hopefully bit the same size and swop them over.
I just got the New old Dnepr MT16 with the shaft drive to sidecar wheel. It is awesome bike and now I will be able to ride it even in winter time. It is 29 years old but still it is one of the best sidecar motorcycles for offroad. I will restore it in the classic style and it will be looking like WW2 sidecar military motorcycle. Little ride on my Dnepr K750. Its from 1976. I got it without the sidecar and it tried to murder me all the time. Now with a sidecar its stable again. Planning on doing a full engine rebuild this winter as it throws oil into the clutch area. Makes it very hard to start as the clutch sits between the kickstarter and the engine and makes it slip.
I decided to fit these new modern LED's inside the old light bulb holders, because I had also fitted a new M Unit Blue which controls all the bikes electrics, and the system works best with new modern electrical parts. So it made sense to fit these new LED's, plus I really wanted to keep the look and appearance of this old style 1967 motorcycles & sidecar, but also bring it up to date with modern electrical parts. And I think I've achieved that.
