Paul Hindmarsh briefly revisits the history of the iconic DL4 Delay Modeler and then introduces the new DL4 MkII, describing its many modern features and demonstrating several of the 15 MkII delays. DL4 MkII The DL4 MkII includes all the sounds and functionality of the original DL4, along with 15 new MkII delays drawn from our HX family of effects processors (30 delays total), two looper types, an XLR microphone input, MIDI capabilities, heavy duty footswitches, three bypass options, and microSD memory expansion—plus it's smaller and lighter than the DL4. The DL4 Delay Modeler has remained one of the most widely used delay pedals in the world for more than two decades. The DL4 MkII includes all the sounds and features of the original, while introducing new sounds and features. The 15 new MkII delays were drawn from our HX® family of amp and effects processors and the 4-Switch and 1-Switch looper types offer up to 240 seconds of record time (expandable to several hours using an optional microSD card). There's an XLR microphone input, MIDI In and Out/Thru connectors, heavy duty footswitches, three bypass options, and a jack for connecting an optional expression pedal or two footswitches. For my Presets visit: 🤍 I was taken by surprise when the 🤍BOSSinfoglobal GX100 appeared out of nowhere a few weeks back. The Line 6 Pod GO I bought after it was announced at NAMM and I've used it for a good while, and thought it was a really decent price relative to the amount of models/options you get, and the Snapshots are I think the best thing about modern Line 6 devices. Line 6 Catalyst (The Boss Katana Rival) Line 6's new Catalyst series seems to be their answer to the enormously popular Katana by Boss. Like the Boss it's a very budget friendly modelling amp. Now Line 6 have been in the modelling amp business for years now, and they should know what they're doing (although some might argue that their Spider line proves otherwise). This is my video running through all 73-amp models of the HELIX, mine is the Helix rack but amp models are the same throughout the range. I've only had the Helix a few weeks and love the HX edit side of things and the effects and amp models sound great. Use headphones for the best idea of what they sound like. Signal chain is small amount of noise gate - amp with cab that's automatically selected by the helix, small amount of reverb and delay and that's it. Guitars used for the first half was a HSS Fender custom shop strat and for the second part a Customshop Gibson Les Paul. Hope you enjoy and it's of some use to see what the amps sound like.
