Melasma is a disorder of pigmentation caused by excessive production. of Melanin by melanocytes. Melasma is a skin condition that causes patches and spots on the face, which are darker than your natural skin tone. Most people get it on their cheeks, chin, nose bridge, forehead, and above the upper lip. It sometimes affects your arms, neck and back also. In fact, melasma can affect any part of your skin that is exposed to sunlight. That’s why most people with melasma notice that their symptoms worsen during the summer months

There is no single treatment that is effective for melasma. 👉🏻Topical hydroquinone is still considered the most effective. Followed by topical retinoids, and 15-20% azelaic acid. Improvements are even better when these are combined. 👉🏻Newer treatments including Cysteamine and topical and oral tranexamic acid show promising results. 👉🏻Other ingredients such as kojic acid, arbutin, licorice, vitamin C, AHA, niacinamide can also be helpful. 👉🏻Therapy is often best when combined with procedures such as chemical peels, microneedling, and certain laser/light treatments, although rebound is common 👉🏻Photoprotection remains most important-Sunscreen, sun protective hats/clothing and oral polypodium leucotomos supplements 👉🏻We always recommend seeing a dermatologist for personalized treatment. ✨However, for those we are not able to see a derm, stay tuned for part 3, we will share few of our favorite drugstore treatment products! E isso eu vou explicar um pouco à frente no que chamo de Pilares para o Tratamento de Melasma no Rosto. Mesmo quem busca para o melasma tratamento caseiro. Uma grande dúvida sobre o melasma é se o melasma tem cura, como tratar melasma, etc. Mas todos esquecem do essencial quando queremos clarear o rosto ou até mesmo acabar com as manchas de melasma. Várias artistas apresentaram melasma, como ivete sangalo, kelly key, deborah secco. Mas acabar de verdade com manchas de melasma não é fácil. Muito menos com receitas caseiras. Abuse do filtro solar, tanto em quantidade, quanto na frequência. Olha, não adianta você comprar um protetor bom e não usar. Para ajudar no seu tratamento e clarear a pele e o melasma, o bom filtro solar, é aquele que tem uma boa cobertura, exemplo sãos os filtros solares com base, que acaba também protegendo melhor contra luz visível. Evite o sol, mesmo se debaixo de sombrinha. Sabe qual o principal problema gente é que o próprio calor piora o melasma, além disso a luz visível também. Se isso for na praia ou em superfícies claras vai ser ainda pior. Isso porque a areia reflete de 70 a 80% da radiação do sol de volta para você, ou seja, você se protege um pouco da radiação que vem de cima para baixo, mas não contra a que vem debaixo para cima e ela é muito significativa, quase como se estivesse exposta em um dia normal, na cidade. E por fim eu vou falar do EFEITO REBOTE, que é quando realizamos um tratamento, passamos por uma melhora e depois as manchas voltam. Eu quero diferenciar duas coisas: recidiva e rebote. Em termos médicos são coisas distintas. Recidiva é quanto há o retorno da mancha ao estado anterior ou abaixo porque paramos de cuidar. Rebote é quando a mancha volta, mas pode voltar até pior do que estava antes. O efeito rebote é uma possibilidade em quase qualquer tratamento de melasma, para não falar talvez em todos, mas é mais frequente quando qualquer um desses tratamentos é mal conduzido. This pill is a great choice for patients who have already tried and failed to achieve satisfactory control (or sustained clearing) of their melasma through a combination of topicals, lasers, and sun protection. Most patients will find they react well to a combination approach, but for those that are still struggling with melasma, tranexamic acid is a safe and effective treatment. Tranexamic acid(TXA) pills have been shown to be effective in clinical studies, at a much lower dose than is typically taken for other symptoms, like blood clotting issues. The oral (pill) form is far more potent than topicals, and has been shown to be effective for a variety of patients. Tratamiento del melasma en la 🤍clinicadelcampestre.com El melasma, condición que se le conoce además como paño, cloasma o la "máscara del embarazo" es una hipermelanosis (aumento en la producción de melanina, sustancia que da el color a la piel) que se revela en las áreas sometidas al sol, especialmente en la cara. Cuando aparece en el período de gestación es un ennegrecimiento del cutis de la cara. El melasma puede aparecer en cualquier persona, sin embargo esta patología afecta más a personas de sexo femenino, sobretodo durante su época de embarazo y después de haber ingerido anticonceptivos por vía oral u hormonas durante el tratamiento de sustitución hormonal. Otro grupo objeto del melasma son las mujeres con menopausia que toman hormonoterapia (HT) durante este período. El melasma además es frecuente entre personas de ambos sexos descendientes de los nativos americanos y en los hombres o mujeres descendientes de judíos alemanes y rusos. Igualmente es recurrente en las mujeres jóvenes con tonos de piel canela. El uso de algunos antiepilépticos también puede ocasionar la aparición del melasma. La manifestación más obvia del melasma es la hiperpigmentación de la piel. Esta se torna más oscura, particularmente en las mejillas, la frente, la nariz y en el labio superior. Los parches que aparecen de color café uniforme van creciendo de forma gradual pero constante y simétrica. la sintomatología es exclusivamente de carácter estético. Sin embargo esta condición puede generar un problema psicológico debido a que se afecta la autoestima del paciente por su apariencia. No hay una razón destacada, pero se cree que influyen de manera determinante en su aparición los cambios hormonales de las mujeres en los niveles de estrógenos y por la exagerada exposición al sol, por ello se tiene a que aparezca más en climas tropicales. La predisposición en el propio ADN es igualmente un factor preponderante en el progreso del melasma. Las personas con problemas de tiroides tienen asimismo más riesgo de sufrir de melasma . Se cree que la exagerada producción de los melanóforos (MSH), causados por el estrés podrían ser su detonante. Igualmente se piena que el melasma aparece como reacción alérgica a ciertas medicinas o productos cosméticos. Por lo general, el melasma se diagnostica con la observación de un especialista o con la utilización de la llamada lámpara de Wood, con la cual el exceso de melanina en la piel puede ser identificado rápidamente. Entre los tratamientos para tratar el melasma se pueden mencionar: Las cremas compuestas con ingredientes como la tretinoína, hidroquinona, ácido kójico y ácido azelaico. Estas contribuyen a mejorar la apariencia del melasma. Exfoliación química o cremas esteroides tópicas. Otra alternativa es el tratamiento con láser para quitar la pigmentación oscura si la condición es seria. Detener las medicinas hormonales que pueden estar originando la condición. Usualmente, el melasma desaparece pocos meses después de haber parado la ingesta de la medicina para problemas con las hormonas o después de concluido el embarazo. La condición puede aparecer una vez más con otro embarazo o con el tratamiento a base de medicamentos para controlar desórdenes hormonales. O que é Melasma? Melasma é uma hiperpigmentação da pele, decorrente da deposição aumentada de melanina, proteína que garante a coloração da pele e evita os danos da radiação ultravioleta no DNA. O transtorno resulta na formação de manchas castanho-escuras ou marrom-acinzentadas, com limites bem demarcados, mas formato irregular. O melasma é comum tanto em mulheres quanto homens entre os 20 e 60 anos. Embora se localizem preferencialmente na face, na região das maçãs do rosto, da testa, do lábio superior, no queixo e nas têmporas, as lesões também podem surgir no colo, pescoço e antebraços. O tamanho das manchas pode variar bastante. Em alguns casos, elas chegam a tomar as duas faces completamente. São mais vulneráveis as pessoas de pele morena em tons mais escuros, como as africanas, as afrodescendentes, as de ascendência árabe, as asiáticas e as hispânicas que, por natureza, produzem mais melanina, uma vez que possuem melanócitos mais ativos. Como tratar e prevenir o Melasma? Passar protetor é a principal medida contra o melasma, certo? Sim, mais qual protetor solar usar? O ideal para todo tratamento do melasma é utilizar um protetor solar com 12 horas de proteção solar associado a um bom creme de vitamina C Pura superior a 20%. O estrogênio, por exemplo, quando produzido mais intensamente, pode agravar o melasma em mulheres que já têm propensão genética para essa dermatose. Isso pode acontecer durante a gravidez, e os cuidados com a pele durante a gestação devem ser redobrados para quem começou a perceber o surgimento das manchas. Também conhecida como cloasma gravídico, a tendência é que a hiperpigmentação desapareça gradualmente, depois do parto. Já durante a menopausa, a ingestão de hormônios também pode deixar as manchas mais visíveis, e todo o processo deve ser acompanhado por um especialista.
