From Roha ST depot got an ST bus to Murud. 3) Take a Local Trane to Panvel from Thane, Get down at Panvel. Take an ST bus from Panvel ST depot to Alibag or Roha. from there you can reach Murud. This video is about our journey that started from Murud Janjira near Alibaug, we went to Diveagar beach and then finally reached our destination Harihareshwar in Raigad district of Maharashtra. This episode was shot on 19th Sept, We started the Konkan tour from Mumbai on 17th sept and reached Goa on 2nd Oct. Following are the key activities done by us during this episode. Just in case if you have missed watching earlier episodes you may check out the Konkan series by clicking on below link: 🤍 Murud beach visit followed by breakfast at Patil Khaneval in Murud, Poha - Rs 30 & Alu Vadi - Rs 50 for 5 pcs. Proceeded towards Janjira Fort - 4 km from Murud, Imran (boatman) - 7057379538. We could not visit Janjira fort as it was closed for tourists, During monsoon time you cannot visit fort. Janjira to Agardanda - 5 km from Janjira village, we took ferry to Dighi beach from Agardanda Jetty. Then we proceeded around 15 km towards Diveagar beach. Diveagar On Holiday - Rs 1200 for double occupancy, for extra bed it is Rs 200 per person. Contact person - Siddhes kosabe - 7769962779 ( homestay owner) After visiting the Diveagar beach we visited the Shrivardhan beach, Raj Holiday Homestay at Shriwardhan, Rajendra wani - 9881857960 ( Homestay owner) There is an MTDC resort at Harihareshwar - we did the night stay here. There are different categories of rooms here in this resort, rates may vary depending upon weekday or weekend or Holidays or off-season or peak season. We paid Rs 2800 plus tax without a meal, in the coming days, the rates will include a meal as well. There are also a few huts, which would cost you around - Rs 3200 plus taxes. MURUD JANJIRA FORT | HISTORICAL PLACE OF MAHARASHTRA जंजीरा क़िला महाराष्ट्र के कोंकण में रायगढ़ के निकट मुरुद गांव में स्थित है। जंजीरा अरबी शब्द ‘जजीरा’ का अपभ्रंश है, जिसका अर्थ है- टापू। अरब सागर में स्थित यह एक ऐसा किला है जिसे शिवाजी, मुगल से लेकर ब्रिटिश तक नहीं भी नहीं जीत सके। इस किले की बनावट ऐसी है कि इस पर कब्जे के लिए कई बार हमले हुए लेकिन कोई भी इस किले के अंदर घुस नहीं सका। 350 वर्ष पुराने इस किले को अजिंक्या के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, जिसका शाब्दिक अर्थ है अजेय। 40 फीट ऊंची दीवारों से घिरा ये किला अरब सागर में एक आइलैंड पर है। इसका निर्माण अहमदनगर सल्तनत के मलिक अंबर की देखरेख में 15 वीं सदी में हुआ था। 15 वीं सदी में राजापुरी (मुरुद-जंजीरा किले से 4 किमी दूर) के मछुआरों ने खुद को समुद्री लुटेरों से बचाने के लिए एक बड़ी चट्टान पर मेधेकोट नाम का लकड़ी का किला बनाया। इस किले को बनाने के लिए मछुआरों के मुखिया राम पाटिल ने अहमदनगर सल्तनत के निज़ाम शाह से इजाज़त मांगी थी। बाद में अहमदनगर सल्तनत के थानेदार ने इस किले को खाली करने कहा तो मछुआरों ने विरोध कर दिया। फिर अहमदनगर के सेनापति पीरम खान एक व्यापारी बनकर सैनिकों से भरे तीन जहाज लेकर पहुंचे और किले पर कब्ज़ा कर लिया। पीरम खान के बाद अहमदनगर सल्तनत के नए सेनापति बुरहान खान ने लकड़ी से बने मेधेकोट किले को तुड़वाकर यहां पत्थरों से किला बनवाया। बताया जाता है कि इसका निर्माण 22 वर्षों में हुआ था। यह किला 22 एकड़ में फैला हुआ है। इसमें 22 सुरक्षा चौकियां हैं। कहते हैं कि ब्रिटिश और पुर्तगालियों सहित कई मराठा शासकों ने इसे जीतने का काफी प्रयास किया था, लेकिन उन्हें कामयाबी नहीं मिली। इस किले में सिद्दीकी शासकों की कई तोपें अभी भी रखी हुई हैं, जो हर सुरक्षा चौकी में आज भी मौजूद हैं। इस किले पर 20 सिद्दीकी शासकों ने राज किया। अंतिम शासक सिद्दीकी मुहम्मद खान था, जिसका शासन खत्म होने के 330 वर्ष बाद 3 अप्रैल 1948 को यह किला भारतीय सीमा में शामिल कर लिया गया। मुरुद-जंजीरा किले का दरवाजा दीवारों की आड़ में बनाया गया है। जो किले से कुछ मीटर दूर जाने पर दीवारों के कारण दिखाई देना बंद हो जाता है। यही वजह रही है कि दुश्मन किले के पास आने के बावजूद चकमा खा जाते हैं और किले में घुस नहीं पाते हैं। अनेक वर्ष बीत जाने के बाद भी तथा चारों ओर खारा अरब सागर होने के बाद भी यह मजबूती से खड़ा है। किले की बनावट - जंजीरा किले का परकोटा बहुत ही मजबूत है, जिसमें कुल तीन दरवाजे हैं। दो मुख्य दरवाजे और एक चोर दरवाजा। मुख्य दरवाजों में एक पूर्व की ओर राजापुरी गांव की दिशा में खुलता है, तो दूसरा ठीक विपरीत समुद्र की ओर खुलता है। चारों ओर कुल 19 बुर्ज हैं। प्रत्येक बुर्ज के बीच 90 फुट से अधिक का अंतर है। किले के चारों ओर 500 तोपें रखे जाने का उल्लेख भी कहीं-कहीं मिलता है। इन तोपों में कलाल बांगड़ी, लांडाकासम और चावरी ये तोपें आज भी देखने को मिलती हैं। किले के बीचोबीच एक बड़ा-सा परकोटा है और पानी के दो बड़े तालाब भी हैं। पुराने समय में इस किले में एक नगर बसा हुआ था। राजपाठ खत्म होने के बाद सारी बस्ती वहां से पलायन कर गई। मीठे पानी की झील - भारत के पश्चिमी तट का यह एक मात्र ऐसा किला है,जो दुश्मनों द्वारा कभी जीता नहीं गया। यह किला 350 वर्ष पुराना है। इसमें मीठे पानी की एक झील है। समुद्र के खारे पानी के बीच होने के बावजूद इसमें मीठा पानी आता है। यह मीठा पानी कहां से आता है इस बात पर आज भी रहस्य कायम है। इसमें एक शाह बाबा का मकबरा भी है। अरब सागर में स्थित यह किला समुद्र तल से 90 फीट ऊंचा है। इतिहास में यह किला जंजीरा के सिद्दीकियों की राजधानी के रूप में प्रसिद्ध है। HEY FRIEND IF YOU LIKE MY VIDEO PLZ LIKE, SHARE, LEAVE UR BEST COMMENTS, IF YOU R NEW PLZ SUBSCRIBE MY CHANNEL. #KAVYACUTIEPIE #murudjanjira #historyofmaharashtra PLZ FOLLOW IN INSTAGRAM

A special attraction of this fort are 3 gigantic cannons named Kalalbangdi, Chavri and Landa Kasam. These cannons were said to be feared for their shooting range. Another gate to the west is sea-facing, called 'Darya Darwaza'. Janjira fort - Murud | मुरुड जंजिरा बीच | Jaljira fort | Ticket, timings & Complete Information Janjira Fort is surrounded by the Arabian Sea on all sides and is one of the strongest marine forts of India. It is one of the popular places of heritage in Maharashtra, and among the must include places in Alibaug tour packages. The name Janjira is derived from the Arabic word Jazeera which means island. The original structure was built in the 15th century by a Koli chief as a defense against pirates and thieves. Originally a small wooden structure, Janjira Fort was later captivated by Siddi Sirul Khan an Abyssinian Siddi of Ahmednagar kings in the 17th century. During its construction, the fort structure collapsed thrice. Siddi realized that a sacrifice is needed, so he offered his 22 years old son to God. The fort can be reached only by boat from Rajapuri jetty, which is about 2 km from Janjira Fort. Boat Timings: 7 AM - 12 PM & 2 PM - 4.45 PM. It is approached by sail boats from near by Rajpuri Jetty. The fort was originally built of wooden structure called killa madhekot by a local fisherman cheiftain Rama Patil to protect his people from pirates. Nizamshah felt threatened by his fearlessness and send his siddi commanders Piramkhan and a troop of 3 ships to capture the fort in the year 1527. Burkhankhan a successor of Piramkhan demolished the wooden structure and built an impregnable stone fort in between 1567 and 1571. It was then called as "Jazeere Mahroob". Kalalbangdi (18 feet), Landa kasam, chavri are considered as one of a kind cannons found in India. The fort has 19 bastions which are still intact, each containing cannons of native and European make. Also has a room for ammunation. Though the fort is now in ruins, during its heyday it used to be a full-fledged living fort with necessary facilities, e.g. Siddhi Surul Khan's palace and Begum Haveli (Shish Mahal which was demolished in the Soiddis reign). It has a small postern gate towards the open sea for escape. The fort has 19 rounded bastions, still intact. There are many canons of native and European make rusting on the bastions. Now in ruins, the fort in its heyday had all necessary facilities, e.g., palaces, quarters for officers, mosque, a big fresh water tank, etc. On the outer wall flanking the main gate, there is a sculpture depicting a tiger-like beast clasping elephants in its claws. This sculpture, its meaning difficult to interpret, appears on many fort-gates of Maharashtra. Originally the fort was small wooden structure built by a Koli chief in the late 15th century. It was captured by Pir Khan, a general of Nizamshah of Ahmednagar. Later the fort was strengthened by Malik Ambar, the Abyssinian Siddi regent of Ahmednagar kings. From then onward Siddis became independent, owing allegiance to Adilshah and the Mughals as dictated by the times. Despite their repeated attempts, the Portuguese, the British and the Marathas failed to subdue the Siddi power. Shivaji’s all attempts to capture Janjira fort failed due to one reason or the other. When Sambhaji also failed, he built another island fort, known as Kansa or Padmadurg, just 9kms north of Janjira. The Janjira state came to an end after 1947.
